Safety is always the number one priority. Our Passenger Carrier Safety Rating from the Federal Motor Carrier Administration is the highest achievable for both our drivers and equipment. This begins with intensive inspection before, during and after any coach leaves our facility.
Our mechanics are factory trained to maintain our fleet to the highest standards. Blackhawk's coaches undergo a routine maintenance plan for peak performance. In the event that something were to happen, every bus is equipped with a cell phone to contact our mechanics and office staff who are on-call 24 hours a day.
Our experienced, professional drivers receive comprehensive training and perform roadside checks to keep the coach in optimal condition during your travels. In addition, Blackhawk's coaches have a number of on-board features to help our drivers prevent problems. A stability control system, housed in the luggage bay, monitors when your driver takes a corner. The system can adjust the steering wheel and uses ABS brakes to make the turn go smoothly.

Your comfort is also a priority while travelling with Blackhawk Express. Our coaches are equipped with spacious reclining seats. The ergonomic interior also has large overhead parcel racks to stow carry-on items. Of course, your will find expansive pass-through luggage bays below the passenger area.
We also offer a number of amenities including satellite television. Our video system includes 6, 15-inch LCD flat screen monitors and DVD player. An 8 disc CD changes is also available.
Blackhawk coaches featuring wireless internet can be requested. All coaches house an ergonomic restroom facility.
Blackhawk Express is please to offer a wheelchair accessible coach for passengers with this need. Our state-of-the-art lift meets American with Disabilities Act provisions and allows everyone the opportunity to travel with us.
- Sliding wheelchair lift door with a minimum 65-inch height opening, two-point door lock mechanism and safety lights in the door header and skirt.
- Power lift with power up and gravity down platform, with 32-inch width and 51-inch length.
- Two forward facing wheelchair positions that meet ADA tie-down and spacing requirements.
- Safety interlock, priority seating and handicap accessibility signs.
In addition, to make our coaches easier for anyone who has difficulty with small steps, we have large, easy entry curved stairways on our coaches.

Blackhawk's just made it easy to travel green. We've recently added six new coaches to our fleet that exceed EPA mandates. These new engines feature a diesel particulate filter (DPF) and use Ultra Low Sulfur Fuel to eventually reduce emissions by 90 percent and emit less “black smoke” than their predecessors. The SmarTire® pressure monitoring system and GPS systems to help further fuel conservation.
When you consider that our coaches carry 56 passengers, compared to your SUV, going coach is far more fuel efficient.
Have you ever felt out-of-touch while you travel? With Blackhawk Express, you have the option to view on-board satellite television. Get up to minute weather and late-breaking news. Our video system includes 6, 15-inch LCD flat screen monitors and a DVD player.
If you must stay connected with your laptop, we can make it happen. You'll find our coached equipped with 110 volt electrical outlets for computer and cell phone charging. And wireless internet means you can send and receive email or keep up with business as usual. Coaches with WiFi must be requested.
Plus, a wireless microphone allows easy narration and voice amplification as needed on your travels.

Amerex Fire Suppression System is also on board. A sensor in the bumper alerts the driver when backing up the 45-foot long bus. And one of seven separate computer modules limits the speed of the bus to no more than 70 miles per hour.
Plus, our new coaches have LED exterior lighting which provides superior illumination,greater durability and uses less energy. Anything we can add to our fleet to make them safer, we do.
